When you stay at this spectacular Florida vacation home, you are located on a stretch of 36 miles of the best beaches in the United States, including Caladesi Island State Park, Anclote Key State Park and Fort De Soto Park. More than 20 beautiful public golf courses are within minutes, including World Woods Golf Club a 36 hole golf complex with the #9th and #48th rated courses in the nation. Orlando and Disney World are 90 minutes away, and Tampa is just a 45 minute drive. Here are some of the many activities available to you and your guests:
Although it's situated within a short drive of both Tampa and Orlando, Hernando Beach has retained all the charm and easy living of a small town. Like so many of the beachside communities along Florida?s Nature Coast, Hernando Beach is a tropical setting where many rivers and canals wind through stands of oaks, pines, and hanging Spanish moss. But it?s also full of historic antebellum homes, reminding visitors that nearby Brooksville served as an important supply hub for the Confederate Army during the Civil War.
Today, Hernando Beach is the ideal destination for vacationers seeking a mix of low-key relaxation and convenient access to Florida?s major attractions. The community is home to dozens of golf courses, gorgeous parks, and some of the best tarpon fishing in the state. But it?s also located near the Tampa and Orlando metropolitan areas, so daytrips to Disney World or Busch Gardens make for hassle-free family excursions.
